2015 marks our 21st year of caring and service to the community.

I feel there are several very important factors when selecting a fallen horse transportation service -

  • Transport
I provide transportation to a crematory, cemetery, fallen horse facility, or a destination of your choice for your departed equine. If you need assistance on locating a facility, please feel free to call and I can provide you with information and options. My services also include other four-legged friends: Ponies, mules, donkeys, llamas, alpacas, sheep and goats.
  • Dependability of Service
I do my best to serve each customer by scheduling according to their needs. The schedules can be adjusted as conditions change. You WILL at all times be provided with the utmost care, compassion and understanding. The history of my business is my guarantee of this.
  • Compassionate Service
I have a complete understanding of the love horse owners have for their horses. Being a horse owner myself, I am aware of the bond that grows stronger each day that you spend with your dear friend. I am respectful of the grief and sorrow you feel from your loss. I have sincere empathy for your struggle of saying goodbye and you will never be rushed when that time comes.
  • Permits
I am fully insured and carry a permit through the Illinois Department Of Agriculture.

My success has been a direct result of my fine customers. If you are a current customer, I thank you. If not, I would appreciate the opportunity to serve you.

KFK Livestock Removal and Transport is owned and operated by myself, Amy Kuipers. It is based out of my six-acre farm in Northern Illinois.

I was born in Aurora, IL. and moved to Batavia when I was 10 years old. I have been an animal lover all my life, but It was at that age that I became a true horse lover. Whether it was riding, grooming, cleaning stalls, or just being around them - horses were all I could think about. I have been fortunate to spend a big part of my life with these magnificent animals.

When I was approached in 1993 to purchase this business, I was pretty hesitant at the idea of what it entailed. I drove around with the owner for about half a year. With the knowledge I gained of how the business was run, I knew it needed many changes. I realized that all this sadness was met with a cold, uncaring end. Surely, this was not how it was meant to be?

I purchased the business in the spring of 1994 and have been learning and changing many things along the way. Being an animal lover, I know that when you lose a pet it can be a very painful process. End of life decisions are not easy, but understanding and compassion helps immensely. I have lost many pets over the years and having someone that helps you through it with caring support makes a big difference. I know that if I can help ease your pain just a little bit during your hard time, I have succeeded in what I have set out to do by owning this business.

A few years ago I was lucky to have a long time and dear friend join me in this journey with KFK. Together Barb and I will continue to make a difference with compassionate care during your time of loss.

Our Commitment to the care of your beloved companion means that you can trust that he or she will be handled as humanely and respectfully as possible.

We appreciate the opportunity, through this website, to better acquaint or re-acquaint you with the services that we offer.
